HOW MUCH DOES 2 GOLD MEDALS COST?

Many of us flew with no money at all, even to buy breakfast. No kidding! Money was the most significant barrier that prevented us from accomplishing our goal.

We had to share resources from terminal fees to food. We needed everyone, but not everyone had the finances to pay for their needs – so we did what every team should do, and that is to STICK TOGETHER.

Most of our solicitations failed, and some of the parents of my choirmates were even having a hard time raising funds because each of us needed an amount equal to a month or two salary for our five days in Macau.

Our rehearsals would even end at 10 in the evening and we reach our homes at almost midnight.

That is why we took on a mindset that no matter how hard the finances were, we press on.

The financial struggle did not taint the sound of our team. It only bonded us closer with each other as we shared resources and looked out for one another and that made our sound “COHESIVE.”

So we flew with a lot of us not having money even for breakfast.

If you are reading this, don’t give up. Never let money be the reason why you stop going to school, taking a piano lesson or dance lessons.

The mountain will tell you that you can’t make it over!
It will try to convince you that it’s way too high!
